Small, smooth stones called "worry stones" are frequently used as a technique to help reduce stress and anxiety. Usually, smooth, polished gemstones or other smooth stones like quartz, jasper, or tIgor eye are used to create them. To ease anxiety and encourage relaxation, worry stones are made to be gripped between the thumb and fingers and stroked or caressed with the thumb.
